Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how A & M Group Pty Ltd (ABN 90 138 457 520) trading as Click Financial Services (“Click Financial”, “we”, “our”, “us”), Australian Credit Licence 390820, handles your personal information.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and Part IIIA, which governs credit reporting.
What we collect
The information we collect depends on what you ask us to do. It may include:
- Identity and contact details — name, date of birth, residential and postal address, email, phone number, and identification documents.
- Financial information — income, employment, assets, liabilities, living expenses, bank statements, tax returns and existing loan details.
- Credit information — your credit history, repayment history, existing and previous credit applications, and information from credit reporting bodies. See the credit reporting section below.
- Information about your goals — what you are trying to achieve, so we can meet our best interests duty as a mortgage broker.
- Website and technical information — IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and information collected through cookies. See the cookies section below.
- Chat and enquiry records — what you send us through our contact forms or live chat.
Where it is lawful and practicable, you can deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym. In practice we cannot provide credit assistance without identifying you.
How we collect it
Usually directly from you — in conversation, by phone or email, through our website forms, or in the documents you give us. We may also collect information from your accountant, financial adviser, employer, lenders, credit reporting bodies, and publicly available sources, where you have authorised this or the law permits it.
Why we collect it and how we use it
- To assess your needs and objectives and provide credit assistance.
- To prepare, submit and follow up credit applications with lenders.
- To meet our best interests duty and our responsible lending obligations.
- To verify your identity and meet anti-money laundering obligations.
- To manage our relationship with you, respond to enquiries, and handle complaints.
- To comply with the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009, ASIC requirements, and other laws.
- With your consent, to tell you about products or services that may suit you. You can opt out at any time.
If you do not give us the information we ask for, we may not be able to provide credit assistance or a lender may decline your application.
Credit reporting
As a credit assistance provider we may obtain and use credit information about you.
- With your written consent, we may obtain a credit report about you from a credit reporting body. The credit reporting bodies we deal with are: Equifax Australia (equifax.com.au), Experian Australia (experian.com.au) and illion (illion.com.au).
- We may disclose your credit information to lenders and credit providers as part of a credit application.
- Credit reporting bodies may include information about you in reports they give to other credit providers to assess your creditworthiness.
- Each credit reporting body has a policy explaining how it manages your credit information, available on its website.
Your rights in relation to credit information:
- You can ask a credit reporting body not to use your credit reporting information for direct marketing or pre-screening.
- If you believe you have been or are likely to be a victim of fraud, you can ask a credit reporting body not to use or disclose your credit reporting information — this is known as a ban period.
- You can ask us or a credit reporting body to correct information you believe is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
Who we disclose your information to
- Lenders and credit providers on our panel, when we submit or discuss an application.
- Our aggregator and its related entities, for compliance, audit and loan processing.
- Credit reporting bodies, as described above.
- Mortgage insurers, valuers, settlement agents, conveyancers and solicitors involved in your transaction.
- Your representatives — your accountant, financial adviser, broker or lawyer, where you have authorised it.
- Service providers who help us operate, including IT, hosting, CRM, email, analytics and live chat providers.
- Regulators, courts and law enforcement, where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Overseas disclosure
Some of the service providers we use store or process information outside Australia. This currently includes providers located in the United States and the European Union:
- Google — website analytics, reCAPTCHA form protection, and embedded video.
- Tawk.to — our live chat. Chat transcripts are stored in data centres in the United States.
- Automattic (Akismet) — spam filtering on our website forms, which involves sending the contents of form submissions to servers in the United States.
- Plausible Analytics — website statistics, processed and stored in the European Union. Plausible does not store your IP address.
Our aggregator and some of our associates, related entities, contractors and outsourcing partners are located in the Philippines. Information may be exchanged with them in the course of arranging your finance, as set out in our Credit Guide.
Before disclosing your information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies and our website
Our website uses cookies. Some are essential to make the site work. Others — Google Analytics, our live chat and our reviews widget — only load if you accept them through our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in our footer, or through your browser settings.
We also use Plausible Analytics for website statistics, which works without cookies. It stores nothing on your device, does not use browser storage, and does not track you across websites, devices or over time. Because it collects no information that identifies you, it runs without needing your consent. Your IP address is used momentarily to work out an approximate location and a daily anonymous identifier, and is not stored.
The third-party services we use on this website include:
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — website usage statistics. Only loads if you accept cookies.
- Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly website statistics. Cookieless, collects no personal information, and hosted in the European Union.
- Tawk.to — live chat. Anything you type into the chat window is stored by Tawk.to. Only loads if you accept cookies.
- Google reCAPTCHA — protects our forms from automated abuse.
- Akismet — filters spam submissions from our contact forms.
- ProductReview.com.au — displays our customer reviews. Only loads if you accept cookies.
- YouTube — embedded video.
How we keep it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include access controls, secure storage, staff training, and agreements with our service providers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We are subject to the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes described above, and for as long as the law requires. Credit assistance records are generally retained for at least seven years after our relationship with you ends. We then destroy or de-identify it.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Write to our Privacy Officer using the details below. We will respond within 30 days.
There is no fee for making a request. We may charge a reasonable fee for giving access where the request is substantial. In limited circumstances the law allows us to refuse access — if we do, we will explain why in writing.

If you think we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or the credit reporting provisions, please contact our Privacy Officer. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and respond within 30 days.
